Skeleton Speed
February 11, 2011Old friend Dave Ebner went down the skeleton track at Whistler for a story about the opening of the site to amateur sliders. Quite the newspaper assignment and a hell of video.
Skeleton is a sliding sport that runs on bobsled or luge tracks. It is similar to luge, but the athlete is on her or his stomach for the descent. Nutty stuff. Especially considering this is the track where Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died just before the Vancouver Olympic Games opened last year. Dave handled the course with aplomb, of course.
